Hi, I’m Caroline
I help people and schools grow - in ways that are practical, purposeful, and sustainable. My work combines evidence, strategy, and lived experience to build the everyday conditions where wellbeing, learning, and leadership can thrive - and is always focused on what matters most: people.
With over 20 years in education, I specialise in whole-school development, organisational growth, and leading sustainable system change.
What I believe
Wellbeing isn’t a programme - it’s a way of being.
Culture eats policy for breakfast.
Real growth isn’t always tidy - and that’s okay.
Busyness isn’t a badge of honour. It’s a barrier to being.
People don’t burn out from caring. They burn out from systems that make it hard to care.
My approach
Whether I’m working one-on-one or across an entire school system, my role is to help you:
Understand where you are now
Map a clear, purposeful path forward
Co-design practices and future-focused solutions tailored to your school’s unique context
Always in partnership - not prescription.
Always people-first.
Always evidence-informed.
The result? Practical systems, stronger relationships, and cultures where wellbeing growth is built in - not bolted on.
At the heart of this work is emotional literacy.
I believe emotional literacy is no longer optional - it’s essential. It’s the foundation for connection, leadership, and sustainable wellbeing in schools, and it matters just as much for students and parents as it does for teachers and leaders.
That belief drives everything I do - from strategic work with school systems to coaching individuals and designing professional learning experiences. To support this, I adapted the Delta Model for Educators - a future-fit framework that positions emotional agility as a critical capability in a rapidly changing, AI-accelerated world.
What I bring
My work is grounded in emotional literacy, relational leadership, and wellbeing science to turn research into practical, lasting change.
I regularly speak, consult, and facilitate across New Zealand - partnering with schools and organisations to create high-impact learning experiences and long-term capability.
This includes:
Whole-staff professional development
Leadership and department workshops to build shared language and emotional agility
Teacher training in wellbeing science & education
Teacher consulting and curriculum collaboration
Parent and school community talks
Student workshops and presentations
Board of Trustee presentations
Conference workshops and keynotes
